The Auxiliary ladies enjoyed another Christmas luncheon, hosted by sub-Branch Committee members Don Gilson and Gary Spencer (aka Naughty Elf). It was nice to finish the year off with a lovely lunch, a glass of bubbly and some great company.
Port Macquarie RSL sub-Branch’s Christmas Party was an absolute success with almost 70 guests attending. We even had a visit from one of Santa’s elves!

This year, ANZAC Day in Port Macquarie will be commemorated a little differently. A march will be held for Veterans only as our numbers will be considerably restricted with COVID-19. Form up at 9:00am at the clock in Horton Street and we will march to the War Memorial where the main service will be conducted.…Details

Acknowledging the significance of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs recently produce a Commemorative Medallion and Certificate of Commemoration. Saturday 15th August 2020 marked the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Pacific – the end of Australia’s involvement in World War 2. A small but dignified Commemorative Service was held at the Port Macquarie Cenotaph. We were privileged to have in attendance, three WW2 Veterans – Ross Drummond, Jean Lacey and Neville Peel-Davis.
